You Create Your Own Reality

You create your own reality

Do you know what is reality, what is truth and what is a lie in this world of experiences?

Immanuel Kant said, “We can only experience things a priori according to what we ourselves have brought them.” With this statement, Kant makes a Copernican reversal – a spiral that assumes a change of perspective where reality itself does not exist because each subject is active and transforms reality in accordance with his own experience.

Kant claims that we can only understand knowledge a priori if we admit that we only understand phenomena and not the objects themselves. Thanks to Kant’s revolutionary contribution, we understand that we are active subjects in our own experience. There is no single reality that influences us as passive subjects, and therefore we are not slaves under our own circumstances.

We create our own experience

We are masters of what happens to us; therefore, every experience is a repercussion, a return from our thoughts, from our emotional stage and from the attitude we decide to adopt in every moment.

You have certainly had the chance to experience the fact that, depending on how open we are to new ideas, we can attract more beneficial or harmful experiences to our lives. Depending on the level of openness and where we focus our attention, we will attract experiences that are in line with the energy we add to our environment.

This also happens on an internal level; we lose strength and are more easily affected by diseases if our thoughts make us believe that we are puppets of the circumstances and that we can do nothing about them.

When we continuously have unpleasant experiences, it does not mean that life has turned against us, but that we in some way boycott our experience through the energy of our thoughts and actions.

Experiences are not by nature good or bad. Rather, we attribute meaning to experiences, and these can vary greatly from person to person, even if we are talking about the same circumstances. We have the choice to interpret our experiences in a way that allows us to move forward in a strengthening way or one that makes us cling to what happened and slowly destroy ourselves.

We are not slaves to our thoughts and feelings

Contrary to many people’s beliefs , we can control our thoughts and indulge in our emotions so that they do not become stagnant.

Our thoughts often remain ingrained in what they are used to. Our neural networks become stronger and activated automatically, which generates unpleasant thoughts before each situation if we have reinforced this attitude.

As soon as we stop being aware of what is happening, we become slaves to our thoughts. We believe that there is no escape from the mind that makes us uncomfortable, and it leads us to perform actions that confirm our state of mind.

We do not invest enough energy in what we want to achieve, which is why we get frustrating results and, as a consequence, begin to wonder why we never get what we want. We ask ourselves “Why does everything always hit me badly?”.

Woman in thoughts

And we become prisoners in this vicious circle, increasingly powerless, not because of the circumstances themselves, but because of how we respond to the situation.

Becoming aware of the fact that we create our own reality and that we are not puppets of circumstances is the only way to change these thoughts and modify them. Only we can change the way we look at things. At the same time, our emotional stage will also adapt to how we understand all our experiences, how we go through them and how we integrate them into our learning.

For there are neither good nor bad feelings; they are only necessary reactions to what we experience. They are indications of what is happening to us, and dealing with them helps us to create a great understanding of ourselves.

When we feel, emotions are released, energy flows and we get a way to feel the new experiences. When we insist on suppressing one of our emotions because we do not want to feel it, or because we consider it inappropriate or negative, we give it more power, increase its intensity and create an emotional imbalance.

We build our reality, we give it shape, we are the architects behind our own experiences. Are you ready to take on this responsibility? Whether you are aware of it or not, you are the creator of your reality and your own existence, for it develops as a response to the thoughts and feelings that you have established.
