What Can We Learn From Painful Experiences?

What can we learn from painful experiences?

The idea that painful experiences can bring something good with them and teach us something is calming and gives us peace of mind. There is life after pain where we can apply what we learned from the pain.

We have all experienced suffering that we never thought would end. It felt like it would last forever. The pain with its experiences that will be buried in the depths of your being and make life difficult for you.

You will find yourself sinking into an endless spiral of pain. When you think about the future, you think you can see what awaits. But if we can leave this dark place we are in and instead look outside ourselves, we would see that the dark clouds above us are followed by a light.

We are under a black cloud and it is raining heavily. It never seems to end and we are completely exposed without protection. We are cold and afraid to die of cold. We have suffered the consequences of being naked and vulnerable under a dark cloud that releases all its anger on us.

Somehow we are our own black clouds. We create the gigantic battles we fight our way through. We color our lives gray. Have you ever seen yourself like this before? You speak to yourself with extreme anger and conviction that you will never get out of this suffering. That you can not recover from the pain in your soul.

Believe me, you will recover. Painful experiences ( a breakup, quarrel, disappointment) will pass and become a part of you.

Every experience is followed by a lesson, even if you do not realize it.  In fact, each and every one of these painful experiences has a meaning in the end.

The idea is to show us something we need to learn so that we can move forward with a lighter load and with clear boundaries. When the boundaries of our path are not defined, we can go into walls and fall from one place to another. On the other hand, as we build our identity and look for what makes us whole, our thoughts become clearer and our paths more fertile.

Therefore, painful experiences are closely linked to the chance to learn something in life. Behind every difficult experience is a potential lesson in something that we should not overlook because several situations in life are repeated over and over until we learn something from them.

So, even if you see yourself under the dark, black cloud that is full of rage, you can be sure that behind the cloud there is a wonderful and bright sun waiting to shine its warm light on you. But when you stand under the dark cloud, it is not easy to see this. And that’s okay, because everything takes its time. It is normal to suffer. It’s actually human.

It is just as normal to also learn something from your suffering. Sometimes more effort is required and other times less. Do not forget what you went through and all the times you thought you were on a sinking ship with a hopeless fate.

Maybe it feels really bad, and maybe you’ve never been through something so tough. But believe me when I say that the rules are always the same. What goes down must go up. And in the end, you will appreciate the fact that you did not throw in the towel.
