Useless feelings: guilt and worry

Our lives are often full of guilt and worry – two useless feelings that do not bring anything good to our lives, but that we attach more importance to than we should.

We often feel guilty for things we have done, things we are not happy with in terms of the results they got. At the same time, we worry about what we can or should do, often to the point that it prevents us from taking action.

But do you really know what you are losing by emphasizing these two emotions?

We know we can not avoid them completely, but it is important to be aware of how much energy and time we dedicate to these two ultimately useless feelings.

Both guilt and worry immobilize you while causing you to lose time. Both make you lose the present. Debt makes you waste time thinking about something that has already been done and that has no solution. Anxiety, in turn, causes you to remain stagnant, hindered, while at the same time thinking of a future that has not yet come, but which causes you great anxiety.

Feeling bad or worrying will not change anything that has happened or has not yet arrived. So why do we attach so much importance to these two emotions? Now that we are aware of the fact that it can not bring anything positive to our lives, why do we still give it so much importance?

Everyone is influenced by these two emotions. It is easy to find depressed and pessimistic people who constantly blame themselves. They worry about things they have done or have not yet done.

You are probably no exception. For this reason , it is necessary for you to identify with these two emotions. You need to become aware of them and focus on reducing them. This way, you can avoid the consequences they have, such as anxiety.

Anxiety is the expression of guilt and worry. You feel contemptible and hopeless while you are obsessed with something that has happened or can happen.

Once we have identified these feelings in ourselves, when we are aware of how they make us feel and the fact that they can do nothing for us other than create anxiety, it is time to find a solution.

Guilt should not torment us, but rather draw our attention to an opportunity to learn from a mistake we have made. This will help us avoid falling into the same pit again, and instead move on in life.

No one is free from guilt. We have all made mistakes at some point. But do not think that it is negative! Not at all. Making mistakes makes us better people. Every mistake is an opportunity for personal development – an opportunity for growth.

The second of our worthless feelings is anxiety. We really do not benefit from being obsessed with what may happen in the future. When the time comes, we must act and let the events take place.

Thinking about what might happen before the time comes is useless. When the time comes, everything may develop in a way you did not expect. This can be positive or negative. You probably remember times when things happened in a way you did not expect or wanted.

The past cannot be changed; the future is something that is not yet here. With this in mind, we should confront our past and our future in a different way. No one says you can not feel these feelings, but you can learn from them.

We must learn to handle everything we feel in a way that benefits us. Even the most negative of events are opportunities to learn and become a better person.

Do not feel guilt or worry about things you do not have the power to change. What has already happened cannot be changed, and we can never know what is to come until it happens.
