How Others Look At You Vs. How You Look At Yourself

How others look at you vs. how you look at yourself

Do you see yourself as you really are or as others see you? This may seem like an unimportant issue, but the reality is that it is something very important to reflect on.

When you start thinking about this, you may realize that how others look at you and how you look at yourself may not match. How you behave and how you show yourself with them will create an image of yourself that you may not want.

All this can affect both positively and negatively. Imagine, for example, when you see that you have put on a few kilos and those around you say that you look good. How you look at yourself is not necessarily a perception shared by others, and this is something that affects many things.

Our complexes prevent us from enjoying being ourselves. This happens because we try to adapt our self-image to others.

We constantly think about what image we present to others, how others will look at us… But we do not think about others not looking at us as we think they do or as we want them to do.

Do you know what would have been very good? To start interacting with the people around us and ask them directly how they view us. This can help us understand that our point of view is not the only one.

If you have done this, things have probably been discovered for you that you did not expect. Everything they tell you will help you form a true picture of what you are really showing to other people. What can you possibly discover about yourself?

Sometimes we allow ourselves to be influenced too much by what others expect of us. How do others want us to be? This can form an external image of the environment with which we feel identified.

Sometimes you spend time with manipulative or aggressive people who depress you, or who make you get an image that does not match how you look at yourself. You risk becoming who others want you to be. Do not let this happen.

How you look at yourself

How you look at yourself will affect how others look at you. If you have complexes, this will show up and others will take note of this and know about it.

Whether you are yourself or trying to be someone you are not, it will be felt! So what should you keep in mind when reflecting on how you look at yourself? There are two very important factors:

  • What you think about yourself will be transformed into reality, whether you like it or not. Everything that goes through your mind will manifest itself in some way, so think positively and leave the negative behind. Thinking positively about yourself will benefit you.
  • Beauty is created within you; all good, all the positive must come from you, not someone else. Why should you hide who you are? Show off your true self, accept yourself, accept your beauty and show it off.

Another important thing to keep in mind is how you treat others. Everything, just everything will show how you are as a person.

Treating others well, being respectful, will make others look at you positively. It is normal to have a bad day, because we are all human! But the way you treat others will show.

Our perspective is not the only one, but the things we see we will not see for how they really are, but for how we are. If we are negative, we will see everything in a negative way, and we will therefore see others as negative people.

Try asking others how they see you! You can share what you have learned with us. This little exercise is not difficult and it will help you open your eyes and see yourself from new perspectives. What have you now learned about yourself? Keep in mind that your point of view is not the only one.
