A Bird Born In A Cage Will Think It Is A Disease To Fly

A bird born in a cage will think that flying is a disease

A bird is born to be free. So if it is locked in a cage, it will feel that its whole essence has been limited by this cage. It’s like cutting off its wings along with one of its most important characteristics, its ability to fly. The title belongs to Alejandro Jodorowsky, and it will help us see how the same thing can happen to humans.

Metaphorically, the cage bird’s perspective is something you can experience in life. There are people who are content with what they already have, with what they feel safe with. They do not allow themselves to experience other experiences. This is not a negative thing if it is the bird’s own choice. The problem arises when the bird thinks that everyone else is doing wrong when they fly.

A bird stays in the cage even if the door is open

Like birds, humans are born to guide their steps wherever they want to go, freely and autonomously. But there are people who, due to various reasons, such as education and social influence, park in their so-called comfort zones when they reach a certain age. And it seems that they can not get out of this, even if they are asked to do so.

This “comfort zone” has to do with what they are used to and what makes them feel protected. In this zone, routines dominate. In fact, it is very difficult for them to “escape” from its pattern of behavior. This makes them uncomfortable with those who are different from themselves.

A bird in a cage with an open door does not have to come out and fly. But it does not have to stop either. We need to be tolerant and understanding when it comes to lifestyles that are different from our own in order to maintain personal relationships.

Two covered eyes see more than one blind mind

One of the most famous people in the world – Nelson Mandela – believed in the freedom of the mind above all else. Covered eyes will always be able to remove what covers them, but a blind mind will have a much harder time.

Birds

Those who cannot see themselves in a cage often feel judged by inflexible senses. “You are crazy”, “It is not the right way to behave”, “What you do is not right”, “What will others say about you?”. These are common expressions that a person who dares to fly often hears.

Anyone inside a cage does not understand that the world is full of nuances and possibilities. Anyone who does not think he is a bird will anchor his dreams to the ground and within a closed circle. Anyone who does not believe in their ability to fly will question the dreams of others.

You have to light your mind, not fill it

If a bird has wings to fly, humans have a mind that helps them fly. But the mind must be rekindled all the time. We must give the seeds that will help it to think, not fill ourselves with impractical ideas.

MAN

Some people behave like birds that have spent their entire lives in a cage. They are therefore afraid to fly out when the door is opened. They may even judge their friends for doing this, but they are simply too scared to do so themselves. They just need courage.
