Treating someone with affection is the best way to show respect. It is synonymous with kindness, kindness and love. Why should we not treat people we love with affection?

A word, a question, a gesture, a look, a touch. All expressions are an attempt to connect with someone. With these we say “I want to feel connected with you” . Based on how others receive our gestures, we will receive a positive or negative response to our request.

If we stop and think about it , it is overwhelming how often we ignore or react negatively to these attempts at interconnection. Thus we can see the importance of learning to touch with affection, to touch others with respect.

Our attempts to connect would be much more rewarding if we knew how to recognize the emotional needs of others. Many battles are the result of misunderstandings and a sense of disconnection that can be avoided with a conversation.

By not speaking with respect to others, our relationships will wither and die. When we ignore the importance of connecting when we often our own isolation, dissatisfaction and instability.

Complete and satisfactory conditions are not achieved overnight. They develop gradually with the majority of gestures that build stability and love in our interaction patterns.

Every day and with every little gesture, we lay the stones that make up our castle. These exchanges are the pillars of emotional information that nourish our affection.

Positive responses lead to continuous and healthy interactions. They consist of the champion ball in a ping pong match where both participants play with pleasure. Negative answers, on the other hand, negate all attempts to create a connection. In other words, the match is over if you hit the ball while the other does not touch his racket.

In short, we have several options when it comes to responding to attempts to create a connection. Depending on them, we can play ping-pong for quite some time. Let’s take a look at the ways we can respond to a gesture from someone else:

  • Respond with empathy for the other person. For example, when one person makes funny comments and the other person laughs. If we promote these types of interconnections, we will be rewarded with lasting relationships and be full of good feelings.
  • Respond with threat. People who respond threateningly can be belligerent and argumentative. Using these types of responses expresses sarcasm or contempt. An example would be: “I want to buy a car” , to which the threatening answer is: “You can dream of that with your salary.”
  • To ignore the other person. This is synonymous with ignoring the other person’s attitude, which obviously destroys the relationship.

Treating people we appreciate with affection should not be an exception, but a rule. We often neglect these details and weaken our relationships, which will inevitably fade.
